Personalised secure logistics for an Easy Collection Service

To make collection as simple and convenient as possible, Euro-Recycling does not impose any packaging criteria or stipulations. Our own collection staff will simply clear your old IT equipment from its current location with the minimum of fuss and provide you with a full and detailed inventory and all necessary documentation. Our only provision is that the equipment is unplugged from the mains and any network. The equipment is transported to our Head Office in vehicles fitted with tracking devices so we know where your PCs are at anytime. When it arrives at our processing plant it is checked into stock and goes through the testing, data removal, and removal of identification process.”

Data Wiping, Data Cleansing or Data Destruction of Hard Drives

Companies have a duty under the Data Protection Act (1998) to ensure that personal and company data does not fall into the public domain.

Euro-Recycling uses licensed software for data removal, and any items containing information save on hard drives are wiped to US Military standard DoD 5220.22-M.

The software communicates with the system board Basic Input/Output Subsystem (BIOS) functions to access hardware directly. It uses Logical Block Addressing (LBA) if necessary to clean FAT32 drive more than 8Gb in Size. To erase data it overwrites all addressable locations on the drive with a character or character set for a particular method.

Alternatively the drives are shredded if they can not be data wiped or the customer specifies this method of data destruction.

Euro Recycling Ltd hold Waste Management and Waste Carriers Licences and is an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility. We satisfy the Environment Agency's stringent criteria

Documented Audit Trail

In compliance with our Waste Carriers Licence Euro-Recycling will issue a Waste Transfer Note for every collection. This will list number of items collected with the relevant European Waste Category Code.

Should the collection involve hazardous waste i.e. CRT monitors, Euro Recycling is obliged to issue a consignment note to satisfy your legal obligations under the Restriction of Hazardous Substances, RoHS, regulations. The consignment note details where the waste has originated from and to which licensed waste management company the hazardous waste is destined. This way the government can track the movement of all hazardous waste. If a company produce more than 200 Kg of hazardous waste in a year you are obliged to register this with the Environment agency. We can do this for you or you can do it yourself by visiting the EA website at:

We also provide a full inventory of all items collected, listing serial numbers and asset codes. Once the data removal process is complete, all asset and ID tags are removed from all items, and a certificate of removal is issued to the customer.
