Secure Data Removal & Data Destruction
All Companies have a duty under the Data Protection Act (1998) to ensure that personal and company data does not fall into the public domain.
Euro Recycling operate a CESG approved mobile destruction unit which can visit your premises and utilise an industrial shredder to destroy your hard drives and other media. On Site the company can remove the drives from your hardware on your behalf or you can have them removed before arrival. Once shredded the hard drives and media are rendered useless in accordance with the European standard EN 15713 which supersedes BS 8470.
Alternatively ER can take hard drives away to be shredded back at our HQ. PC cases and any other redundant IT equipment you may have that needs to be recycled as per the WEEE and Hazardous Waste Disposal legislations, can also be removed.
Euro Recycling also uses the industry leading Blancco and Kroll Ontrack data destruction software that strictly complies with the UK Government's Communication Electronics Security Group, CESG (part of GCHQ) Infosec No: 5 standard for hard disk clearing and sanatisation. The scrubbing of data is achieved through a multi-pass specification of verified multiple overwrites of every available user sector of the hard drive using specific data patterns which leaves absolutely no user data.
The purpose of this service is two-fold, first and most important is the ultimate eradication of any and all readable data on a media device. Alternatively the drives are shredded if they cannot be data wiped.

Our Infosec Standard No 5 Mobile Data Destruction Service has under the CESG Claims Test Mark process and has been awarded the CCTM approval. So not only do we use CESG Approved data erasure tools but our service is CESG approved aswell.
